Bring water to a boil; add sausage, and return to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove sausage and pat dry.
Cut sausage lengthwise to, but not through, other side.
Cook sausage, covered with grill lid, over hot coals 4-5 minutes on each side. Serve with coarse grained mustard.
