Develop, implement and analyze marketing communications and advertising programs; create, publish and maintain web pages; provide desktop publishing and direct mail support; perform media relations, writing services and public relations for clients in industries such as oil and gas, health care, food service, executive recruiting and paper products manufacturing.

Conduct media relations and marketing consulting for IDM Equipment Co., a manufacturer of land-based drilling rigs.

Manage and direct advertising, marketing and media relations for Champions Chiropractic Center.

Developed, published and manage web pages for RLR Group, an executive search firm.

Provided collateral marketing services support for LaCour International on the opening of a new plant in North Carolina.

Provided total advertising, direct mail and creative services for the opening of a new restaurant, Prime Time Steak House. Developed and published their web page.

Developed marketing strategy for opening of a new restaurant, 3 Cheers.

Developed, created and implemented a direct mail and advertising campaign for ClaimStar, Inc. intended to increase business in the mortgage claims industry.

Managed all ceremony, vendor relations and media aspects for the USS Houston (CA30) Memorial Monument event on Nov. 11, 1995.

Designed and developed collateral sales material for Cooley & Cooley, a dental product manufacturer. Expanded and managed their web page.

Developed a product line sheet that resembled a company newsletter for Sparkling Clear Industries. Provided media relations and writing support.

Provided media support and fund raising consultation to non-profit organization That's What Friends Are For.

Developed a media campaign for a new limousine service for SkyCar Inc.

Provide marketing and media support for Cypress Creek Emergency Medical Services during the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. More than $60,000 has been raised for the organization in the last five years.

BROWNING-FERRIS INDUSTRIES ('87-'93)

Streamlined and focused the entire public communications program. Responsible for the corporation's contributions program, community relations on a nationwide basis, the graphics/signage/promotional programs, and the trade show and industry relations program supporting more than 500 shows each year. Computerized the company's $1.2 million a year contributions program. Total budget responsibility exceeded $5 million per year.

TENNECO INC. ('78-'86)

Primary media relations contact for the parent and four of its major subsidiaries including Tenneco Oil Processing and Marketing and Tennessee Gas Transmission Company. Responsible for financial and earnings news releases for the corporation. Assisted in the production of the annual report. Helped develop and implement community relations projects that included the Houston-Tenneco Marathon. Served as the senior information officer for a subsidiary, Newport News Shipbuilding ('71-'73). Was responsible for media relations for an average of one major event (ship launching or keel laying) a month, and wrote more than a dozen speeches for the president or other senior executives.

FROMM INC., an Advertising Agency

Maremont Corporation, a major automotive aftermarket manufacturer of Maremont mufflers, Gabriel shocks and WorldParts import car parts, initiated a major sponsorship program affiliated with Indy-type, stock and drag racing cars. The strategic public relations plan I developed was utilized for more than ten years.

DAYCO CORPORATION

At Dayco Corporation, my aggressive marketing communications programs resulted in sales inquiries increasing from less than 1,000 a year to more than 20,000 in my final year. I was also responsible for the total production of the quarterly and annual financial reports of the corporation, and for shareholder and investor relations.

REYNOLDS METALS CO.

At Reynolds Metals, I was instrumental in the successful public introduction of the aluminum baseball bat and tennis racket, and the Brown-in-Bag.

U. S. AIR FORCE

At Malmstrom AFB, Montana and Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico, I served as Director of Information with responsibilities for weekly newspapers, community affairs, media relations, and "SECRET" classified quarterly histories. In Puerto Rico, I was also responsible for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Stations (AFRTS). My newspaper in Puerto Rico was judged "Best in the Air Force" for two years. I was awarded two Air Force commendation medals, and selected as the "Outstanding Officer" in the Reserves. I was a commander of two Public Affairs Reserve Squadrons (Dayton, Ohio and Houston) and was a Civil Air Patrol advisor in Houston. Retired U.S. Air Force Reserve (Major).
